When you are part of a school community you need to be part of the community. As an art teacher it is easy to volunteer time to create things like graduation rings, or help students design graduation hoodies. It is essential to harness the creative energy that is created in the classroom and put it out in the community via murals, posters, art displays, art auctions, CAS projects. It is also important that the arts help each other through making props, theater production posters, invitations. There is so much one can do as the art teacher to imrpove everyone´s creative output and everyone in the community´s aesthetic experiences.
