Sometimes you need to display the best of the best of your student's work
This is a collection of the best projects I have done. Best meaning the most fun to teach, the most engaging for the students, the biggest amount of transfer skills and truly just my favorite work.
Grade 9 mind map exploring personal identity
Grade 9 self portraiture unit, how do artists present themselves to the world and why?
Grade 8 created stencils of protesters or activists. I love to teach stenciling.
Deer parade was a project where grade 10 students studied Cow parade - a huge art movement that happens globally and had to paint a deer using the rules of an assigned art movement -www.cowparade.com/

Grade 10 book art - Sense of Saigon
Grade 8 exploration of materials - Charcoal, graphite and pencil - students were asked to draw sculptures done by other classes from previous years.
Grade 7 had to find an old portrait and place the subject into the modern world. It was all about moving the subjects through time, using mono printing, collage and drawing.
Grade 8 collage combined with drawing - the subject was something that makes you mad.
Grade 6 students learned about drawing what they see not what they think. It is a really fun still life project where students explore pencil, charcoal, mono printing, watercolour painting and collage through their shoes!
